I would say that there would be 3 of them. SEC, BigTen, and PAC.


BigXII and ACC would dissolve with most schools joining one of the other three.

There would be two divisions in each one with no crossover games. You could shuffle divisions annually with "pods" or whatever. But either way, it would make conference championship games more interesting and competitive. The three champions go to the CFP. With one at-large bid that could go to an independent, a great non-champion from one of the three conferences, or even a G5. By having one at-large, teams could still schedule an OOC or two and have it count for something.
